Weekend Kitchen Renovations You Can Do On Your Own
Kitchen renovations is by far one of the best ways to update and rejuvenate your home, however, when you rent or having budget issues, small kitchen renovations can be a temporary but rewarding fix.
There are many weekend renovating options out there that you can save your dollars, but update or restyle your home easily.
Here are a few suggestions we have that you can easily do on your own that cost very little but can make a big difference in appearance.
Paint walls and or ceilings:
You can buy a few gallons of paint and cover any fingerprints (or critter paw prints) with a new coat of paint in the kitchen. Just be sure to cover and caulk any holes before you go to work.
Create a stylish backsplash:
Similar to installing tiles on the floor, you can also put a backsplash above your countertops and over your oven wall that attracts the eye when walking into the kitchen. Tiles come in many styles and colors to match any kitchen design.
Install under cabinet lighting:
Get lights that attach underneath and plug into the wall outlets. It’s an inexpensive way to brighten up your kitchen space without having to hire an electrician.
Install new tile flooring:
If your kitchen flooring looks particularly worn out and scratched up, you can pull up the flooring and lay down tile. Vinyl or ceramic tiles are relatively inexpensive, and you can consult with a tiling professional ahead of time about how to lay them.
